If you have required community service hours to fulfill, please fill out the form found here:
https://gallatinvalleyfoodbank.org/give-help/volunteer/community-service/
Once you have submitted the form, you will be emailed directions on how to schedule your community service shifts.
Types of community service hours may include: school hours, university conduct hours, court mandated hours. Volunteer shifts are typically 3-4 hours long.
- Charges related to an act of violence or sexual misconduct are prohibited for serving hours with the Food Bank.
- Every shift must be scheduled in advance. No walk-ins.
- You must have more than 10 business days to complete your service.
- If you miss a scheduled shift without notifying us, you will be unable to finish your service with us.
- We may discontinue the offer of service hours at any time if applicant does not meet our standards of conduct, work ethic, and timeliness.
- If you are a minor, we require a guardian to accompany you on your first shift.
- When you complete your hours, we require 5 business days’ notice to send verification.
- You are responsible for the completion of your mandated hours. GVFB employees are not responsible for scheduling your hours to completion. If the scheduling is not available for you to complete your hours at the GVFB, we suggest that you schedule additional hours elsewhere within the HRDC; at the Warming Center, Drop In Center, Fork & Spoon, and other programs.
