We are partnering with Mountain Tough of Bozeman for an Operation Conquer Hunger Event on June 22nd for the packing of 8,500 grocery bags for our Healthy KidsPack Program!
The Healthy KidsPack Program strives to alleviate childhood hunger by providing nutritionally balanced, kid-friendly foods to area elementary students every Friday during the school year.
Healthy KidsPack is offered and accessible to every elementary school student regardless of income. Providing this resource ensures that all kids have access to well-balanced weekend nourishment when school meals are not available, helping to stretch each family's food dollars.
KidsPack serves 33 schools in Gallatin, Madison, and Jefferson Counties averaging 405 or more bags per week.
Attendees of the volunteering session on the 21st will be setting up stations for the bag-packing event on the 22nd. You will be standing, lifting, and bending. Be sure to wear comfortable closed-toed shoes, bring a water bottle and be ready to support Mountain Tough through various duties that will set them up for success on the 22nd!
The event will take place at the MTN Tough facility, located at 167 All West Trai, 59718. Parking for the event can be found in the lot behind Montana Party Rentals, located at 17 All West Trail, 59718. A short walk will lead volunteers to the event facility. Look for signs for 'Toughfest' that will instruct you where to park and where to find the event.
