The HRDC Gardens helped to establish the ComUNITY Garden at the Warming Center last spring! This space has been very important for the residents of the Housing First Village and the Warming Center to come together and grow together! Access to and ownership of green growing spaces is a key step in building an equitable and resilient community!
This spring they need a hand getting the garden prepped and ready to grow.
We have prepared the garden for the planting and we will be sowing seeds and digging in vegetable starts on this day.
Let's work together to make this space beautiful for for our fellow Bozemanites!
WE WILL MEET AT THE WARMING CENTER FOR THIS WORK PARTY!
Tasks will include:
-Weeding
-Planting vegetable starts
-Seeding garden beds
-Mowing and weed-eating
Please bring:
-Any vegetable starts or seeds that you would like to plant!
-Any garden tools you feel might be helpful (shovels, rakes, hoes)
-Garden gloves
-Weather appropriate clothing and closed toe shoes
-A water bottle
-An open mind, a helper attitude
