Did you know that May is Community Action Month AND Mental Health Awareness Month? HRDC is a Community Action Agency and we need your help to launch our new Community Garden at the Warming Center!
Join us as we build, plant, and grow our wellness efforts with residents of the Warming Center and Housing First Village on Sunday 05/22/2022 from 10AM -2PM.
This project brings together the entire community to take part in planting seeds, growing roots, and nurturing our bodies and minds in cultivating food as medicine.
Help us to create a vibration of health and wellness through HRDC volunteers, Warming Center guests, and Housing First Village residents. Together we will build community and our own immunity through the process of working together and taking responsibility for becoming stewards of the sapce we get to share as home.
We will have some supplies on hand, but if you have any of the following please bring them with you!

- top soil
- compost
- garden tools
- hoses
- high wire fencing
- sledge hammer
