Gallatin Valley Food Bank

We believe no one should go to bed hungry.

We serve anyone whose income does not stretch to cover food expenses, seasonally employed households, older adults living on fixed incomes, as well as households who are experiencing temporary homelessness. High housing costs and underemployment continue to force people with jobs to seek emergency food assistance. More often than not, at least one person in every household we serve has someone currently employed.

We currently utilize approximately 150 weekly volunteers in addition to special group volunteers to make sure everything runs smoothly, and no one goes to bed hungry.

We need your help! 

Community engagement is critical for the success of our organization. We always need volunteers who are dedicated and passionate about nourishing our community. We have a variety of ways to get involved! 

• To volunteer with Healthy Kids Pack or Kids Summer Lunch, please visit each program page for more information.
• To volunteer with HRDC Gardens, look here for more information.
• For Group Volunteering Opportunities, please respond here and you will be contacted by our Volunteer Coordinator to schedule a group session. 
• To volunteer as a Food Rescue Route Driver, please respond here and our Food Rescue Coordinator will be in touch. 
• To volunteer with our Store Operations Team for weekly AM & PM store support Monday-Friday & Tuesday evening shifts, a this orientation is required. Once attended, you will gain access to sign up for these shifts. 
• To complete Court Ordered Community Service please fill out this form and our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch with instructions to schedule your hours.
