Help create a welcoming space for everyone.
Community Commons is more than a property. It's a gathering place where individuals and families access services, build connections, and find support. As a Groundskeeping Volunteer, you'll play an important role in creating a clean, safe, and inviting outdoor environment for everyone who visits our campus.
Whether you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in beautifying shared spaces, or simply want to make a visible impact in your community, this is a great opportunity to give back.
What You'll Do
- Pick up litter and help keep outdoor areas clean and welcoming
- Pull weeds, maintain flower beds, and assist with seasonal landscaping
- Sweep sidewalks, entryways, and common outdoor spaces
- Help water plants and maintain outdoor amenities (dog waste stations, trash cans, etc.)
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to a team member
- Assist with special campus beautification projects as needed
What We're Looking For
- A positive attitude and willingness to work outdoors
- Ability to perform light to moderate physical activity, including bending, lifting, and walking
- Dependability and attention to detail
- No previous groundskeeping experience required—we'll provide guidance and support
Why Volunteer?
- Make a meaningful impact on a community resource that serves hundreds of people each week
- Enjoy fresh air and physical activity while giving back
- Develop practical landscaping and facility maintenance skills
- Be part of a mission-driven team committed to strengthening our community
Every flower bed refreshed, sidewalk swept, and piece of litter removed helps create a space where community members feel welcome, respected, and valued. Join us in helping Community Commons look its best.
